It was crazy how so many people on the internet were saying This Is Us dad should've left the dog behind. The dog is a living creature and feels pain. How could a person possibly stand on the lawn and not go in while hearing (or just thinking about) the dog barking and whimpering in pain?

I'd go in and save my pets. I wouldn't leave them there alone to begin with, though. They are like having babies.

We didn't understand why the dog wasn't sleeping with the daughter in the first place. The dog and daughter should've been together so Daddy Jack could save them in one go.
