Audible.com spoke to their narrators, and even they said they don't like their voices.

She complains about her voice but I think it sounds professional. Maybe it's cause she learned English from watching tv.

It didn't sound too intense when we met like the characterization of NYers in movies/TV. You sounded quite normal to my California ear.
