I read the first book a while back and saw the first movie the other day - that's about it. Not sure about the wall tbh, can't remember what it said in the book or if that little titbit was even mentioned in the first one. Clearly prefer the THG books though.

That said, Jai Courtney, Theo James and others make it worth watching... kinda

It was a pretty good game, even though the defense and offense still need a lot of improvement.

I had a friend of mine who's read those books explain the wall to me and stuff, but it still makes no sense to me, from what little I know about it all I would have to agree, I liked THG, both books and movies.

I'm a rare human who doesn't like Theo; I think it's because I just picture him in The Inbetweeners movie, where I wanted to slap him

I DID. I have no idea how he got away with that, I don't know what he was thinking to even raise his boots the way he did, but he was a very lucky boy to get away with it.

It always kills me to see them take penalties. That said though, these penalties were a lot better than the last ones they took, which were 1000% awful. At least they were actually hitting the target - it's just a shame they were up against Neuer and the Bayern guys took beautiful penalties that all hit their mark.


It is! Again! People are already saying Bayern will knock BVB out, but stranger things have happened... I'm not counting Bayern as safe at all, not with BVB's up and down rollercoaster they've been lately.

At first I thought the referee might go with a yellow/red card (wasn't sure if he'd had seen yellow previously in the game). He should really thank the ref for leaving it at that.

Yes, it's very much an English thing. The US tried to make it and it flopped, much to the amusement of everyone here who ripped it to shreds.

Amen! It's bugging me right now in general how seemingly a lot of the movies and such coming out are re-makes. It's re-makes for the sake of it, it's so pointless.


He is a gem at times and really cracks me up with the things he does. He looked so stressed perched on his little chair.

I did I'm sad for BVB, it won't be the same without him, he's such a strong character. It'll be weird seeing them without him on the sidelines. It does make me wonder if this will influence Hummels into staying/going.

Duuuude, I started watching a few minutes late and the first thing I saw was Neuer on his 'rescue mission' and the resulting penalty. He must have been beyond lucky for not seeing a red Card during he game. Thought the might come back when they scored the 2:1, but overall very poor performance Definitely one of the worst in most recent history.

Right? It baffles me, especially with a show like The Inbetweeners, there was 0 chance of the humour in that show transferring properly in a re-make, and they proved that within 10 minutes of it starting Play originals!!


I reckon he's gonna be a lot more stressed now a lot is coming to light about how he behaved with our Medical Team. So badly that they have all resigned - and the season isn't even over That was truly horrible behaviour, and I can't believe all the Medical Staff have resigned and gone, they have been there for YEARS, this is horrible!

Oh, that may be true, it would be good for him to work with new people. I guess we'll see what he does, but if he were to leave the same time Klopp goes, he's going to be a hated man in Dortmund, which I would not like to see.

Right! They Need to come up with good shows on their own and if they do, give them a chance and not cancel them if the ratings aren't a huge hit from the get go.

I was so baffled last night. Mueller-Wohlfahrt has been there since forever and for him to step down, something huge must have happened. To blame the medical team for the loss in Porto is just wrong, the medical team weren't on the pitch and how are the medical team to blame for individual faults? I don't get it.

I like the books, but the show is a more condensed version, which is at times a good thing. George RR Martin has a tendency to write long winded, so the books are good, but tthey have their lengths

Agreed on all counts. I'm not a Bayern fan, but as a football fan in general it was painful to watch, especially if you know how good they can be.
