That is true, but since news seems to get posted about the pair of them together and people tend to discuss them as a pair these days, this thread can be handy.

Also the pair of them (though you don't physically see Ben) do share scenes together in Middle Earth, so it's really not that out of the ordinary.

I think a lot of people liked them.

It looks like they both used to have boards here, but no longer do.

I always loved the idea that Bilbo and Smaug were also Sherlock and Watson.
