Mark and I (Si) have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Even though our post counts have been steady and really good thankful to our regular posters here, with the fact that the show got cancelled by Netflix (as well as Luke Cage which could be a chance for the character to guest stars) our discussion material seem to be getting scarce and the main activity being on game threads.
We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts eventually

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

As much as it hurts, like Si said a huge majority of the activity is in the game threads and that's really not enough to sustain a board

I know Si had a lot of things going on in real life and it happens! I'm not even going to try and mod the board on my own as health problems keep me at about 50 percent.

We'll have the TV board to discuss the show and the couples board to discuss the ships so it's nowhere near the end, but it taking a year for a new season to come out and the
fact that the show is cancelled makes it all that much harder

Thanks for getting this started, Si & Mark.

I haven't been posting here as much as I wanted to but I want to say my two cents about this since I was a poster here during the early days.

Because of the cancellation, I'd rather that the board be closed than have it up with dwindling post counts. It's hard to sustain a board, especially a Netflix show, with a long hiatus and a cancelled one at that. We can always open a thread on the Netflix board to discuss the show and the possibility of it being revived somehow, I heard, on the Disney streaming site (not sure how legit these rumors are)?

In the event that the mods of this board do decide to close, I'd like to say a big thank you to Si for stepping up to save this board when no one applied for it when the board was new. At the same time, I'd also like to thank Mark for stepping up to help Si, even for a short time. It's hard to close boards around here and I know this is a hard decision for both of you but you both did the best you can for this board and that's truly appreciated.

I'd hate to see the board go personally, I think we could still wait some more to see if we can keep conversations going and/or if the show gets revived by the new streaming site like Lindsay has said, or there can even be a Heroes for Hire show from what I've heard. I mod a board on a show that's already ended but we still have a lot to talk about there, we see what the actors are up to now, so I think it makes sense to keep it as long as people like participating. but it's totally up to you guys, if you this isn't working for you and you feel it should be closed then it's understandable as well however I do hope you decide otherwise

It's definitely not something that comes easy I know Si has some real life things keeping her away and she mods a couple boards on her own which I can only give her high praise for. That being said, I really don't have confidence in modding the board on my own and there were mod openings a few times where I think we had a lack of people applying. Either way we still have the TV and couples boards for IF

Sorry to see boards go, but if it's what you think is best, then I am sure people will support it.

Hopefully, members will flood over to the Netflix board for the show.

yeah i had to see the board go too, but we si not around i can understand why they want to close it. we still have the netflix board and the television board and couples board we can discuss the shows at if you want . i love the show and it really sucks that its been canceled im still hoping it comes back in some way or another.

I haven't had much time lately (I apologize for that), and with all my boards this is the one that made more sense for me (personally) to drop. I love the board and the show, so it was hard to come up with the decision to even open this thread to talk about closing it. But if you guys that post here want it to continue open I'm sure we can work it off somehow.

Yeah it's definitely not set in stone and if we can work around it then we have endless possibilities but other birds will have their post counts added to if this one closes

I was genuinely surprised that IF had a board when I originally joined because it's the least popular Netflix show and not only that but having to wait a year + for the next season isn't easy

yeah all netflix shows have such a long break between seasons its not easy to pass the time to keep the threads alive. and if the show isnt that popular to begin with it just makes it even harder to keep discussions alive.

Indeed! It didn't have as many fans as the other shows but the ones it did have were very dedicated and were loyal to what we did get

Guys this thread has been open for a while now, and after talking with Jerry, we feel it's best to close it down
This will be our last week as an open board here on

I'd like to thank you all for being regulars and participating in the board with us I really appreciate you guys helping me out to keep it going while the show was airing, the big hiatus wasn't easy but we made it! But now with the show having ended we can always reminiscence about it on the couples or tv show or netflix boards

Love you guys, (and we still have one last week to enjoy this place)
