I think that's what some professors do anyway. Because they have a lot of students and grading can get overwhelming. Unless you get really attentive professors who read every word, but don't return the assignment grade to you for weeks. A current situation of mine this semester.
And that's exactly what she us. That she's one of those professors who reads everything and writes lots of comments, thus we have to wait a bit longer for the grades. __________________

I had the worst law professor in college. I'll never forget her. She made us stand if we can't explain an article properly so sorry to you if you were called early and still can't answer her because you'll be standing for the rest of the class. And then we had that other professor who barely wrote anything, has no books and only brings one cigarette stick to class. Oh and we also had that one professor who flunked everyone and only passed 10 (including me) and that was a minor subject.

Wow, you had some strict professors.
 I don't even think that would be ethical in the states to make you stand for the rest of the class. That professor probably would be fired real quick here. I've heard of some classes difficult to pass where you know you'd have to repeat the course at least once. Not sure why the professors don't make it easier but still keep the class rigorous. Or allow for more extra credit opportunities. Failing a student can't look good on you as professor either? But at the college level, it doesn't matter as much I guess. My card key to the school building broke yesterday. I was joking with everyone that they fired me. They told me I wouldn't be let go that easily, ha! I got a replacement one from HR but it won't work for some days!__________________

I found out i have a 3 day weekend and is starts after 11pm tomorrow
we have badges like that where I work and we have to tell the reception people who has what number temp badge and they turn it on then they can walk around the building, then we have to let them know when we get it back so they can deactivate it it takes a few days for our IT to make another badge so if it breaks you have to have the temp badge till then  __________________

Cece, the culture of my college is you have to work and adapt to your teacher if you wanna pass. I have another prof where I flunked each and every exam he's given but when I got my final grade, he passed me. I was really surprised. With that law prof, there was this crazy story going around that after her wedding, her husband died and she has been really bitter ever since so she's lashing out to her students. I don't believe it though but it's easy to just believe it to explain her behavior.
Jennifer, have fun on your break too! Going to visit the family tomorrow and stay there until Easter.  __________________

Oh my, Lindsay. I'm not sure how it is there, but in China a lot of people go the 'backdoor' way when doing things. Where you offer money or other gifts to the people who can help you achieve things, like entering schools you want to attend but didn't get the scores to be accepted (there are tiers [I believe that is what they call it?] for every school, similar to ranking here but it starts even in elementary school). Different countries just play by different 'rules' and it's always interesting to hear how different things are everywhere. Teachers in China are seen as gods.
