I get that Joy was experiencing internal turmoil after finding out her father is alive but she could've opened up about that to either Danny or Ward. Btw, Joy didn't know Harold died right?

^ it wasn't mentioned, but I would imagine that she knew when she was talking with Davos... like Ward would've told her I think

I kind of see how it's going to go since they seem to be following the rough comic book route.

I think with the season being 10 episodes instead of 13, she'll be against Danny and Ward for the entire season until the final episode.

My guess is that they'll be a two vector attack with Davos, where Joy leads a legal takeover attempt against Ward and Danny in the foreground (since they'll want use the Rand building set again alot) while also financing various assassins in the background to help Davos try and kill Danny (so they can do the action scenes).

I imagine her character will be somewhat similar to Claire Underwood in House of Cards with the ice queen veneer except they'll definitely give her moments of doubting what she's doing is the right thing of avenging her father's death as opposed to seeing Danny becoming more mature and evolving combined with their previous history of her knowing his ultra good nature. A gimmick they could use for her this is that she'll think of him as "The Iron Fist" rather than "Danny" to try and push herself to stomach him dying.

It'll be a tug and war of self-conscience in that aspect. Likely starting cold, then warming, then really cold, and in the end back with Danny and Ward. She'll do some questionable stuff, like probably bringing up in the legal side that Ward and Danny should be deemed incompetent to run Rand. For Ward, she might bring up publicly that he has drug issues and that all his "decisions" in the past leading Rand company where really as a puppet for her father so he is not fit. For Danny, that he is spending most of his time beating people up on the streets and recklessly spending money to cover up or aide these vigilante activities, rather than in the boardroom.

I really hope it was Ward because finding out about her father's death by others would've been a lousy thing, specially since Ward and Danny cremated him and all last season
