I'm really curious if they are going to expand on how Alex got to where she is in her job and everything. Like will we see in Flashbacks and everything.

I thought it was super fast paced. By the end of the ep, everyone knows Kara is Supergirl except Cat. I get a very similar vibe to the other DC shows on CW (with the whole operating like a Black Ops unit trope). I found Cat's character to be cliched because I don't really like an "evil" boss (been there done that) but hopefully that will change. I like Kara's friendship with Winn & James but I can't seem to ship anyone yet. I do like Kara & Alex' relationship. At first I thought they were biological sisters but turns out they're not which is great. I'm really interested with some flashbacks and that tag in the end of the ep which will probably be a recurring SL for the entire season (or just a few eps?). Also, I hope they'd stop mentioning Superman on the show. I understand people are interested in that angle but I want this show to be all about Supergirl and not her living in the shadows of Superman/always referencing Superman.

The VFX was wonderful, I like the part where Kara saved those passengers on the plane. Some of the SLs for me just dragged on, nothing remotely significant has happened yet but they're probably just introducing the characters anyway. Pilots are usually a mess for me but it's not enough for me to gauge a show. So while I didn't entirely enjoy it, I'm still going to watch a few eps to see if I'll stick around.

I think the whole show should be more light.. like Flash.. so I think that's also a resaon why they made the whole "why call her a girl and not a woman" thing was mentioned
I thought it was good.. basically what we've seen in the trailer.. but isn't that mostly the problem with pilots? Alex profession was a surprise though and also the ending.. althoguh when I saw who they picked as Kara's mother I knew something was up and thought she was still alive
Other than that, I'd really looove to see flashbacks how they dealt with Kara coming to the family back in the day

After watching the trailer, I have to admit I wasn't sure I would watch this show. It seemed very light-hearted and my initial thought was the trailer seemed kind of "cheesy". Even more light-hearted than the Flash it seemed. I've always seen superheroes to be strong and mighty and the trailer was too cute for my liking. Most of my shows are pretty action-packed with a little cute on the side. I hope the same for Supergirl! The pilot was MUCH better than the trailer, IMO.

Lindsay - That is one of my dislikes about Arrow, Flash, etc. - everyone knowing their identity. And they end up adding on so many to the team (Arrow). The Flash has done better in that regard. Not adding to the team one person after another. I love superheroes living double lives and keeping their vigilante sides a secret. Kara's sister was right to warn her of the dangers in the world knowing who she is. I felt if it were Kara's choice, she would just tell the next stranger. Of course she's still a bit new at all this - being fascinated in her abilities, with saving people.
