I don't think it's a power trip persay. I mean she's been softening I feel towards Kara at least.

Yeah she has been softening, but I think it was largely due to what happened in Livewire. Realizing she needs to be nicer.

I enjoyed meeting Cat's mother and sort of seeing one of the sources behind her anger/frustration toward Kara (and, well, everyone lol).

I love how much their relationship is growing.

The way Cat schooled Kara on what it means to be an angry woman and how to tame that was perfect.

That scene was awesome and so, unfortunately, true in today's world. Women have come along way as far as equality goes but...there's a ways to go. I really enjoy Cat when she's giving advice to Kara and being protective of her. Even if she does call her "Kira" instead of "Kara" most of the time.

I'm not sure if it's an acting choice by Calista to seem like she doesn't care about Kara, or if it's her actually pronouncing it incorrectly. lol.
