I think berlanti was the one who said the character would be coming out. I highly doubt anyone knows alex likes women. it's possible (although unlikely) alex herself doesn't even know.

I hope they write this well.

at least kara already likes maggie, so that's a plus. and j'onn can read minds so it really won't be long at least until these two find out. and, honestly, alex's gayness can be seen from space right now. it shouldn't take anyone long to figure it out.

Noooooooooooo. I'm glad she's terrible at hiding it, it warms my fangirl heart.

Just my theory but I feel Alex is aware of it on some level. It fits too nicely into the idea that she's struggled with it in the past (denial maybe?) and thrown herself into a hedonistic party world and then her work at the DEO. But however they play it I've already strapped myself in for the ride. I'm going to be invested in Alex until the end.

Yeah the word from Berlanti was a "coming out" story although that could potentially just mean coming out to the audience, not herself.

She was too obviously interested not to have some sort of idea, even if she's never acted on it before or been in denial.

And/or she said recently she hadn't had a date in two years and claimed it was because of her DEO work and having to rush to Kara whenever she needed her. That's probably true but part of it could also be that she just hasn't been that interested in guys either without totally realising she might make more of an effort for an interesting girl.

Kara's reaction is the best thing I've ever seen. And is Maggie a little jealous of Supergirl? Does she think Alex and Kara....? Oh my gosh it's going to be the greatest misunderstanding of all time.

Yeah exactly. Alex knows, but I don't think she has accepted it yet. Alex hasn't let it be a part of her reality, but that is going to change.
