It will be interesting to see his relationship with his mother. I'm guessing she abandoned him at some point (maybe before his dad was arrested) since he's mentioned a few times that he was raised in foster care.

Hopefully JJ gets to exercise his acting skills in this episode.

Not sure what musical you’re referring to (he’s been in a lot) but you can see him in Newsies on Netflix. Just make sure you select the right version since the JJ version is a stage musical that was based on an old Disney movie from 1992
