LATEST NEWS  June 17th 2016 - The premiere of Supergirl season 2 is set for Monday October 10th at 8pm (ET) on the CW June 16th 2016 - Supergirl finds its Superman!Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin has been cast in the iconic role of Superman/Clark Kent on The CW's Supergirl. Tyler Hoechlin To Play Superman On Supergirl  As previously announced, the character of Superman will first be seen visiting his cousin Kara in National City at the beginning of the series’ second season. "Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. "We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character." This isn't Hoechlin's first go-'round as a comic book character; he gained notoriety as Tom Hanks's son in the film adaptation of Max Allan Collins's Road to Perdition. He was also briefly rumored to be in the running to play Batman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice...although it's likely those were just rumors, since he's obviously not close to the age range they ended up using for Batman. __________________

I'm not sure how I feel about this! He wasn't bad on Teen Wolf, but I just can't see him as Superman.

We have a premiere date!
Okay good thing I rechecked, first place said October 17th, now other places are saying the 10th  So yeah, Season 2 premieres Monday October 10th at 8 ET on the CW!  Cece what would you think of having a countdown in the title here?  __________________

Although, I hope they just didn't cast him because viewers will know him from Teen Wolf, thus bringing in more viewers to the show. I think getting more viewers is important, but I also think it's important to cast someone who can pull off playing such an iconic character. __________________
