I could picture James offering to get her job back but Kara turning him down because she wants to find herself of focus on just being Supergirl for a while.

To be honest, I'm more surprised that James still has his job considering being Guardian must eat up a lot of his time now.

Yeah, him and Winn must have superstamina powers if they can run around all night and still work full time jobs. But really, James' job should be the kind of job that is really exhausting and long hours.

I really hope that we get some more references to James and Kara again. Or just acknowledgement of what was there.

Like that scene where James was with Winn and Lyra. It would have been cool to have some explicit acknowledgement that maybe James if affected by that. Granted, I think James is a very put together guy, so it maybe wouldn't suit him to be hurt by seeing other happy couples. But at least something would have been nice, especially since Winn and Lyra are a human/alien couple.

I was just thinking about this recently, that for a show with so many aliens, currently Winn/Lyra are the only human/alien pairing (well assuming that Maggie doesn't spontaneously turn out being an alien ).

I would like some acknowledgement towards Kara and James. If anything it would give fans and shippers some closure or insight on each of their feelings toward the other now. It would also be very The CW-like to keep the option open for them to get back together.

I wasn't huuuuugely on the ship, but I keep waiting for references to it to pop up. Especially with Kara talking about she wasn't successful in love (my interpretation), because she doesn't want to be too vulnerable. I think it would only be natural that as she is letting things happen with Mon-El that there would at least be a fleeting thought to what she lost out on with James by not letting things happen.

Same here. I needed to see more of them to be a shipper. But they weren't given a real chance unfortunately. And that was my thought exactly! When she told Mon-El of her past relationships and them not working out too well, I thought we'd get more reflection on her time with James.
