[Episode Discussion] 5x4 - "In Plain Sight" Oct 27th 2019
 

- Looks like Brainy made some anti-inception tech… which doesn’t work. Because a 12th Level Intellect can only focus on his girl troubles apparently – even though it seems the girl in question couldn’t be overly bothered about their fight. :rolleyes:

- There’s that Q-Waves thing again.

- Apparently, they had cameras on Mars, since they were showing a whole movie at the Planetarium that looked a lot like how J'onn remembers everything... (c'mon, couldn't production have made some cartoon version or whatever to make it a bit more of a dramatic re-creation rather than use the exact same footage of J'onn's memories?)

- Wait… didn’t ‘Jimmy’s’ camera get run-over by a car a couple seasons back? Wasn’t that his excuse for becoming Guardian?

Ah well. G'bye Mehcad. It's been a good run. Best of luck with your Mortal Kombat movie. I hope it goes well.

Brainy needs to move on. I saw no problem with his reciting poems to her.

Something I've been thinking about since last Sunday's episode, James is out of the picture now, Lena doesn't own CatoCo, I highly doubt we'll see Andrea Rojas beyond this season once she is exposed as a villain and Callista isn't likely to return anytime soon to reprise her role as Cat Grant - so who will run CatCo next season and onwards?

Unsure at this time who will run CatCo, unless it's Kara. She is Supergirl after all of course.

Towards the beginning of this episode I noticed that Supergirl wore more makeup & redder lipstick than usual I think. Of course why Supergirl needs to wear makeup I'm not entirely sure as it I'd guess would smear, since she's fighting crime & flying around Earth or the U.S. I don't know for sure, unless she just likes wearing it. Good for her then.

So, Jimmy's sister said ''It's not stealing if he's still in the store.'' Wow. You can judge for yourselves if that logic is backwards, but it still is at least attempted stealing. That teen said to Jimmy: ''You can't beat the system.'' OK, but you can decide to not have kids or fewer of them that end up getting screwed over by the system.

Hearing Malefic who I didn't know was posing as Alex at the time say to Jonn' that he's a ''monster'' got to me wonder if you think that then perhaps it's best that you 2 don't spend anymore time together. Of course though it was Malevic. It was still funny I thought hearing Jonn' call Alex ''brother'' or the body of Alex that.

Jonn' mentioned that he has spent 300 years on Earth. Wow. I think that after 150 years on this planet & that's perhaps stretching it for me, that I think I say ''This is getting kind of lame.''

Finally, Kara telling William Dey that she knows all about his business & naming the things he's been up to was unnecessary I thought & I can see how he could have said ''That's creepy Kara that you know everything about me. Ew.'' He did not say that though, but it does remind me of ''Big Brother'' in ''1984''.
