There were some interesting what-if scenarios this episode. In the dystopian future, Lena actually turned her friend, Sam, into a weapon of destruction instead of trying to help her. And she tortured Brainy until he turned into a version of Brainiac 4 (Brainiac 5’s mother).

My favourite part of this episode:

“From now on, you’re accountable for your own actions. If you decide to forgive me, I will be there for you. But if you continue to work with Lex, if you go through with whatever the two of you are planning, I will do everything in my power to stop you. Just like I would any other villain.”

Thank goodness! I was getting tired of Kara beating herself up because Lena CHOSE to react badly to her secret, then proceed to blame Kara for all the bad things she did/was doing. I look forward to seeing Lena get called out more often.

I found it interesting that even though Brainy was supposed to be emotionless, there was still some emotion in his eyes when he told Nia he was going to enjoy "this".

Not clear on whether or not Lena tortured him, but I think it was certainly implied. I think the term used was "aligned" so it might have been some tech tampering. I couldn't tell if he was there to kill them or capture them-- seemed more like capture because he probably would have had weapons if he wanted to kill. Interesting that we saw Reign die, but not Brainy (so it's not clear if Nia was trying to kill him or just subdue him after they were holding him still).

I wonder how much had to be cut from this episode. I imagine there were more points in time Kara could have visited. I kind of wish she'd asked Myxy to show Lena what would have happened had Kara told her sooner.

This episode felt rather rushed because they had to cram so much into it. I did really like Thomas Lenon as Myxy & this version was fun and entertaining. I kind of thought Kara was going to hug him at the end.

I found it funny that he was "court ordered" to make amends. LOL. Made me wonder what court and under what power.

I liked that J'onn & Alex were there with Kara at the end. Love the Betamax tape thing & how Myxflix was buffering. LOL.

Overall it was a fun episode. I fully admit, I wish there had been less of Winn and more of Brainy since I'm not a big Winn fan, but I can understand that people who watched from the beginning and/or Winn fans would be happy about it. I was really hoping Monel would interact with Brainy, but his brief scenes were nice.

It was the first episode I watch in years.

Some part were goods, I like that we get to see old characters like Winn, Mon-El and Sam but
I would have prefer that a milestone ep like the 100th would have had more focus on Kara’s journey, her relationship with her sister and friends, and not only the Kara/Lena friendship.

"You deserve the same compassion you show others".*Mon-El gave Kara a really good advice.
I'm so happy she finally stopped blaming herself for Lena actions. It was never her fault!!!!

I loved the scene between Kara and Mon-El, I love that she wanted to hear his advice :)
I missed them so much :( It was amazing to see them fight side by side once again and always be there for each other. It will be even more hard to move on from then now that we saw what could have been.

The closing scene between Kara, Alex and J'onn was so sweet  my favorite part. Wish it was longer

I'm assuming she had to torture him, because that's how he got aligned last time (season 4, when he was tied to a chair and getting beat on). Considering how far gone he was this time, it had to be 1000x worse than what happened at the end of S4. At least in S4, he was still helping out Kara and the others.

Good point. Although, she was able to overwrite Eve's entire personality with tech so she could have accomplished it without torturing him. That said, it is very likely that she did considering how she wanted to inflict pain on Supergirl. Seems like she had a sadistic side. Unlike Nia, Brainy didn't have any visible scars, but whatever methods she used probably didn't scar his face or his image inducer covered them. Interesting to see that Nia had a large scar on her face. I wish we'd gotten a little backstory behind that but there wasn't time. I suspect it may have had to do with an altercation with Brainy or happened when Brainy was captured. I could see him sacrificing himself to protect her.

I think the episode was well done. I kept hoping that Kara wanted to explore why Lena reacted the way that she did? When is that ever going to come up?

“I’m done blaming myself for your bad decisions.”

Thank Rao! :yay:

Jimmy spoke & his face appeared briefly in this episode, so I'm counting that as an appearance by him. His first 1 in I believe almost 10 episodes. Ben's family jumped off a roof, because they thought that Supergirl would save them? That's not a good reason to jump off a roof to me. Curious what that conversation was like deciding to do that.
