[Episode Discussion] 2x19 - "Alex" - May 1st 2017
Season 2, Episode 19 "Alex" Episode Discussion original air date, Monday May 1st 2017 Synopsis: ALEX IS KIDNAPPED Alex (Chyler Leigh) is kidnapped and the kidnapper threatens to kill her unless Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) releases a notorious criminal from prison. Supergirl and Maggie (Floriana Lima) have always had different approaches to apprehending criminals but this time they must work together to save Alex. Meanwhile, Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) has an interesting proposal for Lena (Katie McGrath). - Uh-oh… the sister and the girlfriend aren’t getting along. Interesting to see things from a cops’ perspective though. Must be hard to convict someone when you get superheroes involved.
- Why was Lena okay with Rhea walking into her apartment to offer her a “business proposal?” At least Lena caught on there was something not quite right after a little while. - So - How do normal people block J’onn from reading their minds? They always have him say something vague about it, but never explain it. - Awwww, grumpy space dad talking with Kara about how important Alex is to both of them… - I miss Kara making inspirational speeches. Glad to see them make an appearance again. - Okay - If Alex was surrounded by windows, why didn’t she turn the cameras around to survey the inside of the building for the DEO, or at least describe she was in some kind of warehouse? She wasn’t surrounded by lead, so Kara could’ve use her X-ray vision to try and find her by flying through the city. __________________

Yes. Not a bad episode. That would've been tough luck for Alex if she'd have died in an episode named after her, but she survived. Kara acting like she knows what's best for everyone & how to handle every situation kinda annoying & she not surprisingly if I remember correctly walked right into a trap after being told to. All's well that ends well I guess.
