I grew up in a small town. Having known that, you never quite adjust to living in a big city.

You have to drive an hour from where my grandparents live to get to a WalMart. I think that's too country, even if I hate WalMart . I don't wanna live that far from civilization.

The biggest city I ever lived in is New Orleans, and that's just a big town in the scheme of things.

My town has a Wal-Mart. We used to have a movie theater, but the guys daughter died and he retired. They were suppose to build another one, but the spot they picked got caught up in government red tape.

The town I grew up in had a theater, but it burned down. It had a bowling alley that was open in the winter. There was a sandpit lake 10 miles or so up the road where people went to swim and party in the summer.

That's pretty much it.

My town sucks when it comes to recreational things. If you do not like to hunt or go fishing, you really don't have anything to do. I don't like either one which explains my love for television.

Yeah hunting and fishing are not for me either. Never hunted and have no desire as I couldn't shoot anything, and I've been fishing twice and hated every loooooooong minute of it.

I grew up in a small country town and loved it as a kid. Lots of freedom and plenty of time out in the scrub catching rabbits and yabbies. Live in a smallish city now (about 1 million people). Weather is generally very pleasant and it is easy to get around.

Today, its a beautiful day (32 degrees C) I'm out in the garden doing lawns and stuff.

That's what I loved about growing up in a small town. Kids could range far and wide without fear, and anyplace you wanted to go was in walking distance.

Exactly Sherry, but I think my favorite thing about my town is you can climb any tree in town and it's normal(for teens at least)

Today is a little on the cool side for VC(68 F)but it's great weather for our Halloween Carnival.

Oh, last night was our last home game and therefore last color guard performance(until the parades start to roll around. Here is a video of the performance(I am the farthest back on the 50)

The positions kept shifting, so I couldn't keep up with where you were. I'll bet your arms are so tired after a performance like that.

Mostly my legs were tired, but my right arm was a little sore(mostly because of a flu shot I got the day before) you get used to spinning a 20lb flag after awhile.

and yes we won! We were trailing a bit before making a touchdown in the last 3 min. Final score 28-23

Nah, it wasn't our homecoming game. That was...last week I think We lost our homecoming game, but homecoming was fun. Casino tables!

Yea, we have a new girl and she couldn't believe how heavy the flags were.
