I was pretty upset with him after Thursday's episode, but I'm trying to just wait and see what's going to happen. There's probably still a lot more than we don't know yet.

I was upset with him when he left Julia alone in the cave, I hated him so much in that moment and then when he saw Ben's body something snapped on his mind that Julia was in danger and ran back to her I wanted to slap him.



OMG as I was writing that something came to me OH SNAP
I watched the episode again and as christine was talking about the town people she mentioned Norrie is pretty much moving on from her anger, Joe needed to get over his grief of losing his sister (I won't even go there) but clearly in the episode Norrie was angry again, Joe isn't going to forgive Sam, Christine also mentioned Joe's resistance can be contagious so I was thinking if finding Ben's body snapped something in Barbie that Julia was in danger and went back to her, maybe thats what he is gonna need to be back to normal. Julia will be in danger.

I like your theory, Hannah. Remember in Season 1 when Julia got shot. That was the first time he said that he loved her. Watching her almost die made him realize that fact. I thought for sure when he punched the wall, that act would make him come out of his alien mind set but instead it sent him to the lying Eva.

Barbie is so OOC in this season but you have to admit, it keeps us coming back to see what happens next. For me, enough is enough and it's time for the real Barbie to emerge.

IMO the longer he spend time with Eva the longer he will remain under the control of Christine.

as I mentioned in the episode thread, as Christine said the longer they are outside the cocoons/goo and the idea of the fantasy world, humanity takes over. thats why we see some people already acting normal. but Barbie was all night with Eva and all day looking for food and she was in the cocoons for 3 weeks, her contact with reality and humanity is barely there. bonding over fantasy fake memories.

I think for Barbie to break the spell he will have to spend time with other people and somehow find out Julia is in danger to snap to reality.

ITA Hannah! Barbie has to get away from Eva and FAST! Hopefully he will spend more time with "normal" people in this next episode.

I know that once he sheds himself of the alien influence, he'll realize what he has with Julia.

Barbie did cross a line. But Rachelle is adament everything works out so maybe he saves her from death by alien.

Based on Rachelle's comments I would say that whatever he does, that act redeems him in her eyes. I agree with everyone that he crossed a line with that action toward Julia. But........I still have faith and continue to keep her words in my mind....that they are meant to be no matter where they are.
