I still think season 2 was much better! The balance of the characters shown and the storylines were much more balances in season 2. I'm enjoying the season but that'll always be the issue with it for me.

I agree; this season is less cohesive than the previous ones, but there are some aspects I'm enjoying more like the new character interactions

I guess the whole thing with the standalone episodes and not having Lesley for everything kinda threw the rhythm off...

I think it was the standalone episodes that hurt 'em the most, but I wouldn't feel right blaming the writers for that because FOX was the one that gave them 4eps with out warning and then moved them from where they originally supposed to go after the cast&crew had finished them

That's true.

I'll give them something though, I think season 3 had one of the most well written and directed episodes of the series so far which was "Off the record". To make that work, especially in the middle of a season that wasn't being so cohesive, was impressive.

It was very trippy; I would love a bts about how they created that episode

It's one of my favorite parts of the show, when they say the title in the episode

Tom Welling played a great bad guy. I haven't seen him since his Smallville days. I couldn't believe he was Cain!

Anyone catch the Superman reference, geared towards him, and he had a small smile on his face?

I wonder if that was in the script or something adlibbed on set?
