Great start to 5b! The dinner was so awkward and funny but at the same time serious. I am loving the Allstate actor as God. Lucifer telling Chloe he couldn't say I love you

I've been avoiding this board until I at least watched the first ep of S5B. Unfortunately some spoilers seeped through to me on twitter and youtube by their video recommendations (one video recommendation had a title with such a massive spoiler I was pretty mad that someone would title it that way). I'm not one for wanting to watch all episodes in one go. nope, I'm making this last by watching just one ep a week! So I'm gonna have to be mega careful nothing else gets spoiled.

Anyways. So I just watched this episode, and wow. It's been so long since S5A that I almost completely forgot what had happened. The best scene by far was the family dinner. The most awkward family dinner ever! Linda was so funny, I loved how she kept poking God to make sure he's real. But wow what a scene!

I liked how Chloe worked out that Lucifer was needing space from his family. But UGH, the ending when Lucifer thinks he doesn't know how to love like his father and told Chloe he could say those three words to her, that it would be a lie if he did. Noooooo I hope Chloe makes him see differently in time.

God refusing to help Maze by giving her a soul. But then, he does make a point, Maze is perfect just as she is, and I hope she comes to realise that in time.

Michael is definitely up to something.

I knew John Glover was going to be in an episode, (again twitter spoiler) I would have liked to have been surprised, but I didn't realise it was going to be this one. I don't think I've watched him in anything since Smallville as Lionel. It was quite a parallel playing a father who would do anything for his son.

Avoiding spoilers can be one of the most difficult things. I do not have your level of patience to wait and watch just one a week

Linda handled herself like a champ considering how uncomfortable that dinner was That scene had some amazing moments

Me too! That was so sad.

I was sad for Maze in that moment, but I loved that God told her that she's perfect the way she is. Side note: Her outfit in that scene was stunning.

I hoped to see some of the other angels like Remiel and Azrael at the family dinner, but those that came were a handful!

I hope Chloe doesn't get too worked up about Luci having trouble to say the three words.
