Of course everything is NOT okay...The flinched was a dead giveaway but I didn't consider she was conspiring with a priest.

The drama is a major upgrade appreciate Netflix.

Trixie with the transfer to Netflix I wondered if it would be the last we'll see of Trixie. Oh what Did Maze do that hurt Trixie I don't remember

^ Maze had said she's sick of Chloe and "that stupid little brat" (referring to Trixie) which was in 3x18 that she said that.
So of course she wanted to apologize so badly. And I'm glad she got to in this episode. I didn't think it would happen at the start of this season but the scene with Maze and Trixie in this episode was cute.

For some reason I really liked that scene in this ep where Lucifer was holding onto the car and to the light pole.

I loved Lucifer's initial reaction to Decker turning up back at work. Staring at her in disbelief was so funny

Yes, the flinch was painful to watch. When I 1st saw it I just thought she was pretending to be ok, using work as a way to pretend everything was normal again. But then when she goes to the church at the end....ouch

What a beginning! :thud:

I love that the jewelry store dude from s2 and s3 is once again in the season premiere, I kinda hope it becomes this shows thing

Did not think we would see bootie in the first and what a bootie it is! ;) :thud:

Maze speaking demon was so cool. Fun fact! that was actually Lesley speaking Afrikaans!

An amazing beginning

My husband and I have already been brainstorming possible ways he could be in the opening of S5:

This was an amazing season opener. So happy Maze got to apologise to Trixie and Trixie forgave her.

I loved the way he stared at her too, it was so funny and kinda adorable.

I just watched the second episode. Can't wait to discuss that one! It was GAHHH. :thud: The feels. :bawl:

Yeah I thought everyone knew this?
A ton of people were commenting about that.

I thought it was some invented demon language

This ep was really the show at it's best, full of great jokes, but also suspence and drama.

Luci showing Chloe his eye mojo and not concentrating was hilarious!

Btw, I lovely to see that actor who played a regular role in Grimm, forgot his name though.

Nope, it was Afrikaans  I love that the writers let her incorporate a little bit of her heritage into the role that way.

Agree, I love that they kept the humor.

That was really funny

I believe his name is, Sasha Roiz. He's a good actor.

Oh, I loved that bit.

I wasn't sure if he was gloating/showing off or trying to see if it was freaking her out but it was hilarious

Waldfrau 05-21-2019 10:21 PM

Ah, Sasha Roiz, thanks! He was also good with languages.

Does anyone know what Maze said?

Gutted at Chloe's deceit/betrayal
HOWEVER
this show has been filled with main characters who are deceitful and underhand towards eachother...
:eek:Dan being deceitful to Chloe regarding his involvement with the case with Malcolm

:mad:Amenadiel when he first arrived, working very hard to manipulate people into killing Luci

:eek:Linda and Amenadiel hiding their relationship - IMO it was very unfair of Maze to request that they not see eachother, but Linda did agree to this, then went ahead and did it anyway

:mad:Maze betraying Chloe in trying to get her to love Pierce, knowing that she would be devastated when Pierce was killed as per the plan,

:eek:Maze betraying Lucifer in that same plan

:mad:Pierce betraying his friend, the guy who took his eyes, by killing him

:eek:Pierce betraying Chloe after professing to love her, by trying to kill her and Lucifer

The only long-term characters that haven't engaged in this behaviour were post-Goddess Charlotte, except for the episode where she stole Lucifer's money in the alternate universe. Even Lucifer himself, who hasn't betrayed anyone, is deceiving himself about his feelings, and deceived all his friends with his "marriage" to Candy.

Chloe had been free from deceit until this point.
