I'm hoping to watch it tonight since it's a holiday here tomorrow and I don't have to wake up early

ETA: Just finished it Loved it once again Good case. Lucifer was amazing as always, I loved him using his power on the agent guy Chloe is slowly stepping out of denial land but still not all the way there

Trixie asking if Lucifer was a magician

Lucifer/Dan scenes = priceless

Lucifer's therapy sessions were great, too. His whole evolution throughout the episode was great to watch. Poor Maze got frustrated. I was a bit, too, I agree that it was hot that he was punishing "himself"

I missed Amenadiel though Hope he comes back with a bang. Speaking of which let me go post the promo for 1x04 on the News & Media thread

It's a good show in the case that it has good acting and stellar chemistry between the leads, and that it's building on a fairly solid comic. The way I see it, the problem is that it's straying dangerously close to being cemented as yet another procedural detective drama with the "excentric no-rules genius teaming up with the by-the-books police officer". There's a lot of competition flogging that dead horse.

If Lucifer wants to get taken seriously it has to evolve from this.

This, I point out once again, I am saying as a fan of the show.

^I'm really enjoying the show, the characters, the acting, but I definitely see your point and agree with it, especially for the long term health of the show.

I wonder why Chloe was the only person asking how Lucifer pushed a grown man through a window by seemingly barely touching him not touching him at all? It seems like something I'd be freaked out about if I was right in that room watching it happen.

^I know right ?

The ratings are solid, it's on the "likely to be renewed" list already: FOX Renew/Cancel standings, week 20: ‘Lucifer’ is, at the moment, likely to be renewed | TV By The Numbers by zap2it.com

Ohh I forgot to put my thoughts on the episode

I really enjoyed this episode!
The best part was definitely the impostor using and sullying Lucifer's name It was hilarious seeing how that upset Lucifer, and how amused Maze was with the whole situation and the prospect of punishing the guy.
I like that Chloe is not that clueless and is intent on finding out the truth about Lucifer (or at least something more plausible than his explanation). Hopefully she'll put the pieces together soon.
I like that even though Dan is not a great guy, he is not sounding so much as a douche as he did in the pilot.

I do agree with Telepath that the whole procedural/crime detective thing is not the main reason that got me interested in Lucifer. I'm hoping they're just doing that now in the beginning and soon will change a bit

^Totally agree on Dan! They're not making him as stereotypical as I thought they would, which is great.

Exactly! I'm glad they didn't go down that route... way more interesting to have him as an interesting character than the douche that will run out of SL in a few episodes
