Yeah. But hopefully, the ones who do, will remember the movie more than the show. I haven't seen it, but I don't have to to know how I'll feel about it. Biased? Hell yeah!!

Oh, the show totally doesn't compare, but I really do believe the writers when they say they wish to reinvent the show, not remake it. When you think about it, the fans of the original are probably much too old (or mature) to want to tune in to the show. So, it's not really a manipulation or anything, IMO.

The way I choose to think about it is - hopefully the much younger fans that are watching this show will be curious about the original and discover the film and how great Heath was in it.

Well, i don't consider myself old, i'm only 16 , but i really hope it works that way ^^ and more people starts to watch the movie.

Well, I just mean that because the movie came out 10 years ago, the people that were teens at the time of its release are now in their mid to late twenties now. So, I don't think most of those people will be tuning into an ABC Family series. Therefore, they'll have to rely more so on themselves to build an audience than the fans of the original.

It was surprisingly easy for me, I'm not sure why. I guess because it just seems really different. I'm more so just a casual fan of the show, though.

I guess you're right about the fan thing, Linds. I think that's why I don't care to check it out (i.e download it), cause it's outta my demographic. And I love the original too much.
