Roar: We'd Follow Conor Into Battle
Roar Discussion/Appreciation Thread Conor is the orphaned heir of one of the many tribal leaders of hopelessly divided Hibernia (ancient Ireland). With his faithful but unenthusiastic servant and protector Fergus he wanders trough the island, fighting injustice and aspiring to unite the druidic, yet internecine Celts in order to free the country from Roman rule. Most dangers and opponents he faces are largely or completely mythical, the most remarkable being Longinus, the eternally cursed but immortal, cruel and vindictive Roman centurion at Christ's crucifixion who forges evil alliances. I've seen one episode and it's cheesy but watchable. I think I'd definetly have been into it if I'd begun watching it when it first aired.

Haha most definetly! I can see why Heath chose to do this show, the concept of it isn't bad and it would appeal to a fantasy audience but it's not something the mainstream would have picked up.
I wish they'd released the boxset in region two as well though. At the moment you can only find it on region one. __________________

I found this thread on the board guide. Quite handy thread, that one is.
 Did you see this, Jenn? What did you think of it?I have no idea if this show is any good but there are some nice reviews on Amazon. If anything, it looks like a fun watch. Especially for a Heath fan. I spot Keri Russell too. I loved her in Felicity.  Heath Ledger is excellent as Prince Conor, the scenery is lush and beautiful, and the show beautifully blends magic and action.  __________________

I enjoyed Xena and Hercules, I imagine this is similar in ways. Heath is an added bonus.
