At first when I heard Heath was going to play The Joker, I wasn't sure he was right for the role. He's a great actor especially after seeing him in Brokeback Mountain, but Jack Nicholson was a great Joker in the orignial Batman.
After seeing the movie trailers, I see Heath is perfect for the role. I can even say I think he will play him better than Nicholson. I can't wait to see this movie. Though it will be heartbreaking to see him in one of his last roles.

He'll definately give Nicholson a run for his money but both their performances are amazing Im sure. I'd like to hear what Nicholson thinks of Heath's performance.

You know, I bet something will come out from Jack when the movie is about to preimere about Heath's performance. It will be something truely awesome, I'm sure.

IMDB says the movie is coming out on July 18th in the States.

I really hope so. I've always loved Jack N and his performance as The Joker so it owul dbe nice to have his opinion.

I think Heath looks scarier than Jack did.

He does, and I am glad for that! The Joker is a scary guy and he looked too funny when Jack played him

He did look funny, I think it was also how Jack played him. Im glad he is going to be scarier in this movie.

A friend of mine at work was telling me that the Joker from the comics books is suppose to be a psychopathic murderer and stuff..with absolutely no feelings.

And listening to The Joker's voice in the trailers...so doesn't sound like Heath.

I was one of the few people who thought Heath can play it well when it was announced that he's playing The Joker. A lot people have doubts about it. I believe in his capabilities as an actor. Now that the trailer had been released, I feel more confident that he'll win a lot of critics' hearts. I am very positive of it. I was a fan of JN's Joker, too and I agree that it will be hard to outshine him. Though, I think Heath had put his heart and soul in playing The Joker (just like what he always did on his movies). I cannot wait until it's July.

ITA Gay. I think Heath's performance will be very different to Jack N's but that doesnt mean it wont be as amazing or have as much heart.

Both of them are great actors, we can't stop people from comparing both performances.

yeah honestly i think that the roles will be so different you almost can't compare them at all. This new version will be so much darker and i really feel like heath will do it wonderfully, whereas Nicholson was almost comical. it was a totally different vibe. both will be amazing, but i am pretty sure that Heath's will win out for me!

Oh yes, it'll be different. Heath had said it before, his portrayal would not be as like of Jack's. Though I'm sure there'll be people comparing them. I'm not afraid of it since I knew Heath had played that role so great he'd make us proud.

that's exactly right....oh and he occassionally cracks jokes with THE laugh...
