Are you suppose to eat raw ginger?

I'm surprised they didn't do more with having crew member get space sickness.

You can buy capsules or gum. Or just eating ginger cookies or drinking ginger ale seems to help hubby.

Good point. Although I suppose if you got space sick, life on a star ship wouldn't be a good career choice. There was something about Hoshi wanting to switch quarters because the 'stars were going the wrong way' in the cabin she was originally assigned.

Thanks for the tips. I will try those the next time I take a long car trip.

I guess Barclay could also be allowed to be space sick

I always thought adding Barclay to the Voyager cast really added a lot to the show.

Yeah, I was glad to see Barclay again. I always enjoyed the character. Like Q, if he appeared too often he would have been annoying.

I really enjoyed the episode where Barclay was spending all his time in the holodeck on a Voyager replica. He even had B'Elanna and Chakotay in their Maquis clothes.

hmm ... I don't have a clear memory of that part. Remember Barclay spending too much time on the holodeck in TNG episodes.

I guess the other thing about Barclay crossovers was sometimes they included Troi. Not that she was ever a favourite in my books, but it's nice to see familiar characters again.

There was one episode that was mostly Barclay and Troi and it seemed off a bit.

Oh? Don't particularly remember that one. I thought Troi was used fairly sparingly, and they kept the focus on Barclay who had a purpose in that he was trying to help get Voyager home. Not like the Enterprise finale where Troi & Riker stole the focus from the Enterprise crew, if that makes sense.

It was Troi's second appearance and it was mostly a Barclay episode. I could be remembering it wrong.

Could just be that when you tune in to a Voyager episode, you expect to see Voyager characters, not people from TNG so any screen time they get seems like too much. Although I always thought that Q & Barclay crossovers worked.

Watched 'The Gift' yesterday. That's the one where Kes leaves and Seven has just come aboard.

I always liked Kes , but Seven was more interesting as a character.

I agree. It was interesting watching Seven come to grips with her humanity and Janeway mothering her.

Yep. Seven added a lot to the show and it's weird to think she didn't show up for such a long time , but then she got a lot of episodes devoted to her.

Yes, she did. I would have liked to see them give all of the characters equal focus. Chakotay, Tuvok, Harry all could have been fleshed out more.

I always thought Tuvok was underserved and I would have liked to have seen more of him.
