You're not the first person to notice their never ending supply of shuttles. Guess the writers never bothered to count up how many they had gone through. Quote:

I mean no I've not seen the majority of the series, but I'm spoiled on them getting home and some other things. No worries, I was just having a bit of fun. ![]() They did always try and get their shuttles back if you recall so maybe they were aware of the lack of them, but damn I think Chakotay alone crashed at least five or six of them. __________________

Personally, I'd remember general details, but not specifics. Having a shuttle crash or explode and then attempting to rescue the crew members made for some different storylines. But yeah, when they talked about rationing the replicators, it didn't make much sense that they weren't more careful with their shuttles. __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. I seem to remember Tom trying to trade somebody else to get extra time on the holodeck. Or maybe that was just during a specific emergency situation that they were rationed. __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job.'

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I'm back into Season Five and I've finally found an episode that I didn't like, and no surprise here, but it's a holodeck gone crazy episode, the one where Janeway has to play some 30's era villian in Tom's "Captain Proto" holodeck program. I was just like oh no, not another holodeck episode, lol. I have finished the third disk of season five. I really liked the episode about the ocean planet, "Thirty Days". I thought it was an interesting concept to have a water filled planet and the effects were really good. I also liked the episode where the whole crew were hiding a memory from the Doctor, but found several problems with it. When the ensign was dying and the Doctor had to pick between she and Harry, why couldn't they just bring on another EMH program to do the other surgery? Why did she have to die? I mean the holodeck can have several people at once, why not the EMH program? It would make more sense to me. __________________ | |||

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yep that's the one. I found it very laughable tht he ended up getting that time and going back to ensign considering half the crew have done far worse things. I watched "Dark Frontier" before bed last night. That was one hell of an episode. Was it like a two hour one? It seemed much longer than the others. I loved Seven and the Borg Queen, plus more of a backstory on the Hansons and their mission to observe the Borg. I also have gotta say that I'm loving the Delta Flyer, it's like VOY's version of the Defiant. I love it. Oh and I cracked up at how during "Dark Frontier" they managed to take fifteen years off their return trip home. What does this make the voyage now? I swear they've knocked off at least fifty years since Season Three and then I know Kes pushes them another ten years ahead of schedule in "Fury". The original timeline was that at maximum warp it would take seventy six years I believe. No wonder they make it back to Earth by Season Seven, lol. __________________ | |||

I quite enjoyed "Thirty Days" though and was surprised that Janeway actually went through with disciplining Tom when he had good motives. Like you, I also enjoyed the water planet concept. It was original. __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job.'

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | "Dark Frontier" was the episode with the first appearence of the Borg Queen, where they had Seven and Janeway and a few others had to fly into Borg space to save Seven. It was a very exciting episode. You know after seeing "Thirty Days" and the demotion that Tom recieved, I was shocked to see how Harry didn't recieve any kind of punishment for stealing a shuttlecraft and taking the girl from that ship with the generations of family on it. He basically got a stern lecture from Janeway because she held him to higher standards than she would Tom. I was like, oh this is bull. "Course Oblivion" was interesting and the twist that it was the crew from the demon class planet was surprising. I was glad that VOY had a sense of continuity. Plus any episode that begins with a Tom/B'Elanna wedding is okay by me, it was very cute. __________________ | |||

Getting to see the wedding was nice.![]() __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job.'

| I really enjoyed Course Oblivion. I hated that the copies all died in the end. __________________ Maria icon by Satine lilly | |||

That bugs me that he's getting command of the bridge and yet he's still an ensign. Speaking of Harry, how come such a low ranking officer is included in senior staff meetings? I know it's usually because the whole main cast are included in those scenes, but still it doesn't seem right. Going back to the shuttlecraft convo, there was a throwaway line in "Alice" about how they had a full supply of them and I got a bit cracked up considering I've seen so many destroyed. __________________

I think it was explained as he needed more courses at Starfleet Academy, but I'm not positive. You're right that it seemed a bit off to have an ensign included in the senior staff meetings, but considering half of the senior staff were former Maquis ... __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. I watched the episode with Troi and Barclay last night and did enjoy the continuity that his holoprogram had Season One-esque hair on Janeway and the Maquis looking uniforms on B'Elanna and Chakotay, and no Seven. I half expected her to pop up in his fantasy. You know with Barclay so big on holodecks, you'd think he'd have a personal one in his home, I'm sure with the technology out there that people would have personal ones for private use, or buisinesses like Quark had on DS9 with the suites. __________________
