hmm ... I don't know. Voyager was about adventure and exploration. While it's important to see relationships and friendships developed amongst the crew, just focusing on one specific relationship would have left us feeling the other characters were neglected.

It really was. Nice to see that as a backstory going on with them being out in space and so far from home.

I'm also to the Course Oblivion episode which focuses on them a bit.
