I loved watching the ups and downs of their relationship. It seemed so true to life.

Probably good that they had the holodeck since they can't really vacation anywhere other than unexplored planets.

Also, yes I'm so glad they didn't break them up either and they showed the struggles and everything that couples go through, but they dealt with it in a healthy way. Not all relationships need to have break ups and drama. Plus, most of the Star Trek series don't really have a stable couple, so it was great to see that too.

It was so nice to see a healthy relationship develop and be maintained.

For me, a stable couple helps give a sense of permanence.
