Not that he might just have been right on the money to make the request...

Exactly. Worf realized the personal issues might interfere with his professionalism, and it would be really hard for a Klingon to admit that.

Here's an offtopic question for the masses gathered herein-
Which series would u rate as best after TNG in the Star Trek universe?
Also, does anyone here-with the exception of the ebook wedding of Picard and Dr Crusher-follow the post Nemesis novles featuring the Next Gen characters?
If so, can someone please explain The Fall to me?

Voyager would be my favourite after TNG, then Enterprise. How about you?

Sorry, no, I haven't watched those movies.

@ that gif set. It was a great scene.

I still enjoy TOS, but I think I'd be more likely to make the effort to watch an episode of Enterprise.

TOS for me. As for TNG has anyone read the USS Titan books? Apparently Captain Riker gets into some covert stuff in them.Thats why I ask about The Fall as he is in them.

Sorry, I haven't read any of the books.

Interesting that none of us mentioned DS9.

Like Enterprise, people either loved or hated DS9.

Ds9 was mainly centered around the concept of the Dominion War that ran throughout half the series and was so against Gene Roddenberry's vision that many fans reject it outright apparently.
