I know what you mean. I rewatched the first season of TNG a couple of years ago. In the premiere, the characters were all so stiff. It was nice to watch the actors grow comfortable in the roles.__________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job.'

They would play an episode a night on a local FOX station at nine o'clock and I would always watch TNG before I went to bed. When I was finally able to see the first episode I remember getting a laugh at seeing some of the male members of the crew wearing the mini-skirt looking uniform. I personally hated the first season uniforms that were lower on the collar. TNG went through alot of changes in their uniforms and at the time I loved the suit they wore for the most part, but since then have decided that I prefer the DS9/VOY uniforms. I never could warm up to the uniforms that the TNG cast wore in the later movies and DS9 wore in the final couple of seasons. The small color that showed what department they were in grew smaller and smaller and I always liked a bit of color to their uniforms. __________________

Did they shy away from all 2 part episodes? I never understood why they didn't have Deanna in a proper uniform from the start. Especially when she was often on the bridge. The dress uniforms always seemed kind of weird to me. I kind of liked the flightsuit style uniforms on Enterprise. __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job.'

I hated that. I remember getting cracked up when another captain looked at Troi and made some snarky comment about her outfit and then she was wearing the regulation outfit after that. __________________

| The introduction of Data's evil brother Lore was interesting. One can see why he was dismantled by the colonists. I did not like the way the crew treated Barkley though. As an introvert myself, I hate how extroverts feel that its their place to bring the person out of their shell as if there is something wrong with them. The nickname was unprofessional and mean. I have wondered if it would have added to the show if Picard had a son and or daughter like Captain Stubing on the Love Boat. Not a pest as Wesley was at first. Enjoyed the Q and the Borg were fun to watch as evil as they were. | |||

Space is pretty good to air the second part the following night, it's just a matter of remembering about it.Quote:
As I remember, Picard, Crusher and another officer were sent on an undercover mission and another captain (Jellicoe?) was brought aboard and put in charge of the Enterprise. Riker didn't get along with him very well.Quote:
Welcome back Bronson. Yes, it was nice that they gave Brent Spiner a chance to show off his acting talents. Lore was definitely a bad apple.Quote:

I remember Geordi being in the "future" that we saw in that episode, but it's neat to know he was directing it, it was a very nice episode. __________________
