Species Appreciation
ST has introduced us to sooo many new species! Which couldn't you stand, which would you not mind mixing the gene pool with to get their looks, or which just plain irritated you?
My fave has to be the Kobali (STV 'Ashes to Ashes') because I just love how they look! [ 08-10-2003: Message edited Roswell_Creeker ] __________________

Great idea for a thread Misty! Thanks for starting it.
I always found the Andorians rather ridiculous looking with their antennae. I'll see if I can find some pics. [ 08-10-2003: Message edited C h r i s ] __________________

For me one of the best, most annoying yet intriguing characters is Q

I think Trill women are really hot... the spots just really add something. Would like to learn more about their culture.
Klingons make great enemies, but they got really, really, really over-used on DS9. Enterprise is doing a great job with the Vulcans and Andorians, making them really interesting (at least as far as I've watched so far). |

Oh Q ..... I love Q.
Besides, you have no idea what you're missing. Foreplay with a Q can last for decades. I wonder if I'd be up to it? __________________

The Binars were certainly interesting in TNG.

After 'Proving Ground' I'm liking the Andorians better. The antennae are still kinda goofy though.

I wonder if we'll ever find out how the Xindi managed to evolve into six distinct species ... Insectoids, Reptilians, Aquatics, Arboreals, Primates and the extinct Avians.

Star Trek Aliens: They Come In All Colors ;)
I searched all through the threads and couldn't find anything on this topic. If it's there and I missed it feel free to close this.
I brought up the discussion of the Orions from the three episode arc on Enterprise. I believe they were referred to as The Orion Syndicate. Here's some info I found on them. Orion wing-slug Episode: TNG 172 - Ménage Ã_ Troi Origin: unspecified. On stardate 43930.7, Lwaxana Troi commented that she would prefer to eat this otherwise unspecified lower life-form than succumb to her Ferengi captors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Orions Episode: DS9 436 - Shadowplay (pronounced "oh-RYE-uns") Planet name unspecified, within the Orion system. A green-skinned species of humanoid traders with known dealings in the black market, and questionable intentions towards the Federation. Orions are known to have bartered their female dancers at one time. Orions were reported to have transported half the population of a village on Brinda V to work as slave labor in mining camps, another example of a space-faring race — like Cardassians — who have relied on manual labor rather than technology for tasks considered menial. Some Orions from "Borderland. |
