Yes, it does. I was glad when they put her in a regular uniform. Having her in something different for the first season didn't make much sense when she was supposed to be a qualified Starfleet officer.

Part of it may have been the writing in the first season, but it was easier to take Troi's contributions seriously once she was in a proper uniform.
