Eli Stone is another show I've never watched. Maybe I should give it a try.

Thanks for the info dukesmom.

Welcome utemplates.

I didn't see 300 so the reference is lost on me. Is that you in the video?

You'll have to watch Eli Stone online. The season finale was last Thursday.

There was another ST reference last week, this one on BSG. There was a secret meeting at weapons locker 1701D. It wasn't until I read a recap of the episode that I recognized the designation. Apparently my eyes are as bad as my ears because I misread the number twice (handwritten note and locker itself). Too bad there isn't some sort of closed-captioning for poor eyesight.

I wonder how many people picked up on it.

Sometimes your glimpse is so brief, it would be impossible to see it unless you paused.

Over on the Bravo TV website, Lee Anne Wong titled her blog this week: "Damn it Spock -- I'm a Chef, not an Actor"

hehe ... cute. I wonder if the writer who originally penned that line had any idea how it would catch on.

*In the first season of A-Team there's this episode where Murdock is sitting on a bed that has buttons to press, and special effects shows up.
The others in the team, stands offside disussing how they're going to South America.
Murdock presses a button and the rest of the room goes dark, while a spotlight hits right on him with transporter noises. Murdock looks up and waves at the sky, "Beam me up Scotty"

*In Stargate Atlantis, McKay refers to Sheppard as Captain Kirk, because he always manage to hook up with the alien girls they meet.

*In....I think it was the Naked Police or Police Squad, one of the main characters turns to someone and barks "And why haven't you fixed it yet?"
The camera turns to a guy in a star trek uniform fixing the cappucino machine. "I'm running it all I can Captain"

*And in one episode of Chuck, they talk Klingon.

Thanks for bringing those over Lorency. It's nice to see you posting here again.

I used to watch 'The A-Team' but haven't thought of that show in ages.

There was a discussion in last night's C.S.I. episode about why Vulcans have green blood. Apparently it has to do with copper. Sorry, I don't have a transcript of the entire conversation. Humans, according to the show, can end up with green blood when they have high levels of sulfur. I'm sure someone more science-minded can confirm whether or not any of this is true.

Science was never my strong suit.

The latest Dresden Files book, "Small Favor" has a reference to "I'm not a __________, I'm a doctor" - I forgot to bookmark the page to bring over the exact quote.

Do any of you watch The Big Bang Theory? The "nerds" on there are constantly referencing Star Trek series ... one eppy they were discussing if Patrick Stewart was the sexiest man alive!

This didn't come off another TV show or radio deal so I hope it's okay, but my sister and I are constantly saying, "dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a _____."

Hi BucsDM. That's totally relevent for this thread. It's meant for sharing real life references as well as broadcast ones.

I take it you're an Original Series fan?
