So Then...what is everyone looking forward to the most with ST:Beyond?

Not seeing it.

I'm hoping the film doesn't centralise it to 2 characters

I'm looking forward to seeing more character development for Sulu and Chekov in particular, and something to establish that a close friendship is developing between Kirk, Spock and Bones.

I'll see it, but I am still feeling "meh" about it. Maybe the next trailer will change my mind.

I'm excited to see it.

I'm not sure what to think, as I liked the 2009 one but I didn't really like Into Darkness. All we can do is wait :)

These are fairly similar, but there are some differences. One big spoiler

I plan on seeing it at least once to see if it's any good. Even though I liked seeing Alice Eve as Carol in the last feature, I did not overall enjoy the movie. *shrugs*

:nod: I'll see it at least once. Whether or not I buy the DVD will depend on how much I enjoyed it.

If it is good, I hope they will release a special edition. Into Darkness only got the bare bones release and as far as I am aware of, that was the only release it got.

It will probably be re-released eventually, especially if they think they can make more money from it.

It just seems odd that the 2009 reboot got the steelbox special edition and Into Darkness didn't. Like they knew it wouldnt be a great film and didnt want to waste the money and effort on it. *shrugs*

:lol: I like Into Darkness more than Star Trek (2009). But I also had never seen The Wrath of Khan before I saw the movie, so I had no special attachment to the original version.

:nod: I think being able to put aside any preconceptions about Khan would help people appreciate Into Darkness more.

The two things I liked about Into Darkness were Carol and the furthering of the Spock/Uhura relationship. It wasn't all bad...but yes Khan was not what I expected and temporarily killing off Captain Kirk was a mistake.
