thoughts?

Star Trek is broken – Here are ideas on how to fix it | TrekMovie.com

I do kind of agree to some extent. Spuhura was certainly unsatisfying and while I really liked the film, the more I see it, the more shortcomings I notice. Maybe it's just that these characters are somewhat different from the original models. Like Kirk is more rash and impulsive, a little crazy, as opposed to orginal Kirk's thought out and well deliberated crazy moves.

it did good and as an action movie, it does what it's meant to. Men would mainly probably find it satisfying, but where's my romance?

Personally, I don't think ST is broken. I thought STID was a good movie, there was just too much time between it and the reboot, and revisiting Khan probably wasn't the best idea. I'll agree that they need to get back to their mission statement, and be about exploring space.

As to romance, I don't think you'll ever see it as the front burner storyline, and honestly I wouldn't want it to go that way. Yes, I want strong characters, and to see relationships/friendships developed but storylines should be adventuresome and about discovery.

Are there any full body pictures/screen captures of the whole crew with the formal uniforms? (I'm just curious if Uhura and Carol have to wear skirts in that uniform too.)

OMG really? STID went where no ST has gone before monetary wise. More people around the world are more aware of it and are interested in seeing more. This crappy article deals more with a tv new series than anything else. CBS has the rights for the next tv series but refused it. Amercia have the viewers but has opt out and with this latest convention BS why should they.

I read the vile posts that so called ST fan posted on the last TV ST series, Enterprise, and they wonder why CBS or any other station will not produce another.

2016 is the 50th Anniversary and proabably the last ST film for many years.

I hope they'll continue, but that's probably wishful thinking on my part.

I think the actors were contracted for the possibility of 3 movies. Whether or not the studio wants to continue would probably depend on the box office for the next movie, and the availability of the actors.

Thanks for the update.

I was afraid all packaging the various extras on different editions instead of putting them all together would backfire on them.
