Both. Guess we might get a little more labour next week, but not near enough to do everything the way Derek wants it done.

We're cutting back too, mainly to show the District Manager that we can do stuff better with the GM on leave without being massively over in hours..

I do not coach....I observe and photograph, which has apparently gotten me on the coach's good side.

They'll be asking you to coach next year.

aaarrrggghhh!!! Had my worst shift ever at work today. Short staffed and busy. I've never left before with so many things left undone, but if they want to cut labour to the bones, so be it. And next week it's been cut further! At this rate we'll be losing customers.

to Chris. Sorry work's being difficult for you. I hope everything gets resolved, and the managers get more people staffed.

It's not really the managers, they're as frustrated as we are. It's the supervisor cutting labour from the schedule before he approves it. I'm just going to have to try and not care. It's hard not being able to take pride in your work though.

Bought a dress today! Shoes too.

Awww I'm sorry about that. That is unfortunate that you can't enjoy what you do.

Ooohh yay! What color and type/cut is the dress? I find that I like jersey/shirt-dresses the most.

The dress is short sleeved, a beige background with purplish flowers. I got brown shoes to go with it.

Just a quick update to everyone. I am now ten days post-op and I am feeling so much better. I am almost in no need of pain meds now. I take one every 12 hours now. So in about 2 days I should have no more need for them! Wow! That's going to leave me with a lot of meds leftover.

Ten days from now I will know more if the cyst and or fibroid were cancerous or not.

Jerry - that's an interesting selection of pics. We had a hummingbird at our feeder just a couple of days ago. I'm thinking it's time they head south. Nights are getting pretty cold, just a few degrees above freezing. I'm sure TG would can appreciate the giraffe pic.

TG - glad to hear that. Hopefully your results will be benign. After my last surgery, the nurses in the recovery room were snotty about giving me more pain medication before I left. Then I got home and only needed to take my prescription the first day. Didn't like how it made me feel and found tylenol made things tolerable. I'd think that getting by without the prescription stuff is definitely a good sign.

Johnnie - sounds like you enjoyed your Saturday. All day today to relax?
