Johnnie - it all depends on what you can afford and if you're looking for something to make do, or something you hope will last. I'd probably splurge a bit on a computer to get what I wanted.
Tracey - maybe they'll do better in their next game Dave - it's frustrating when the weather doesn't cooperate when we want to get out and do something. Ordering pizza for supper tonight.  __________________

WEll my current computer will make do until I buy another... Just sucks that I can't risk opening websites with videos... yet if I watch something through VLC or media player it would be fine.
 Probably a Java or some other issue relating to browser players.__________________

Johnnie..what browser to you use.... MS Edge won't do any videos except YT.... Mozilla firefox works with Flash and Java...but barely and it may not work at all next year I heard...
Google Chrome is the only browser I now with no problems on videos. True...make sure your Java and Flash Player plug ins are up to date Chris... I also have felt very sleepy today...which is not a good thing b/c its NFL football opening day holiday for me....I drank lots of coffee today and am feeling more awake as the evening goes along. |

 do you still come to town to visit your mom?  with the schools being back up, it seems the students are going to cause another outbreak in cases here in town again -- think this weekend alone 4-5 new cases cause of students  see what the numbers show tomorrow My sister posted this on Facebook  so thought would let you know  That's just downtown and probably doesn't include however many house parties I do predict us going to a new lockdown -- bars need to close imo__________________

Sarah - mom is here now. My father in law is still in the city. The college and uni students obviously think they're invincible.
You'd think they'd be smarter than that. Nowhere near the same amount of people, but last month the tourists in town were certainly keeping the restaurant & bar patios packed. Dave - yikes! you wouldn't want to doze off during the game! Johnnie - it's good to be in a position that you can make do until you can find what you want at a reasonable price __________________

Oh mom no longer in a home here? Yea its really is just a at the studentsOh August the same probably here keeping businesses packed even without the students  but think our own residents were probably able to do it more along the ways of social distancing etc__________________

No, when mom was ready to give up her apartment and move into a home, she moved up here.

 I thought when she did that after the apartment that she had a retirement home here but glad she moved up there  bet its a lot closer than coming here to townThought would let you know cause I know you come to town sometimes I know my sister said she won't be coming to town for a bit - which sucks cause even if I don't talk to our mother, she does and mom loves her granddaughters And sadly mom still lives within 5-10 min walk from Fanshawe she's been out there 25 years in the same townhouse that we grew up in late 90s-early 00s__________________

Sorry to hear having computer issues
 yes computers new are expensive  got my refurbished for like $150 or so just cause it had been almost a year when my old one died and I don't use mine for much where this Chromebook works well enough ... Now once I get disability whenever that happens, I'll probably but an actually laptop again__________________

I mean it should be fine then, I know once I started having issues with Windows Update awhile back that it was a matter of time.
