Request Regulars/Off Topic #244: trying to enjoy our summer while keeping our distance

It seems really weird not to have fireworks to look forward to tonight.

thanks for starting Chris... I don't think cities will be having fireworks in my city or any city b/c of possible crowds gathering and 50 and Under people are getting the blame for the Covid increase b/c they are not wearing facemasks

I was writing Movie/ TV animal Trivia.... Johnnie...I came up with tons of them for the Heroes participants

Tracey...How is your week going so far

Tracey - for your team winning!

Sarah - some people around here were setting off fireworks too. It always makes hubby nervous when people do it from their yard instead of going over to the school or community centre field.

Dave - how long does your trivia game run?

Johnnie - was your store busy yesterday for the holiday?

Weird to drop out so close to the end, this has made me want to watch some of these older shows again... not sure I ever did finish watching Sabrina when it was on.

Got to 29 in DDO yesterday, should hit 30 tonight... we're prob going to stay capped til Sunday or Monday I'm guessing... might try out barbarian next while I'm leveling in a group.

Dave not sure if its illegal to personal fireworks from your own place as a kid remember someone by the school use to do fireworks on their street

Chris yea same about people doing it themselves especially considering we've got quite a collection of trees around the neighborhood

I know my sister enjoyed some in Stathory related to their neighbours setting some off but from what I recall they are pretty treeless

Sarah... yes it's still illegal to set off fireworks in backyard because of possible fires to others property nearby.... people sitll do it . Now if you have 5 acres of land you can get away with it pretty much... if you have one acre or less land in backyard and ornary grumpy neighbors like Batman or Scrooge...then they will calll the police on their neighbor

Johnnie...well the 2 people who dropped out were not too active ...and the Trivia thread moves like lightning if you miss a day

my friend has back problems.... so no lunch out today...things like this happen every Holiday... last year... same friend had heart surgery and called me from Hospital on the 4th my friend is healthy overall

Not sure of all the legalities surrounding fireworks here. Guess they expect people to use some common sense. Also, since it's a tourist area, I think there's some leniency in enforcing the law since they're sold all summer long.

Dave - Sorry to hear that your friend isn't feeling well.

Guys

I'm just backtracking on something I said on Tuesday because my late mom reinforce-taught me that "you are always responsible for what you say"... and that's important to me. Anyway, I said I "had something with a C...." I don't like to write to word "constipation" because it gets painful at times and it's pretty personal to some people ...but that's what I had on Tuesday. I was NOT diagnosed with CoVid10/ Conora. I just wanted to clear that for the record... because FF is a public site which some people who are NOT registered still do read .

Anyway, nice day outside...I had a nice walk.... even with some area of consturction

Yeah, you don't need to be registered to read most of the content here, I think the web archive had some missing time on the site most likely due to a period of time when you couldn't view much without being signed in (Forums4Fans era I think)
