I'm happy that Walmart has food and has to stay open...you can buy a tv, vacuum cleaner or whatever along with your food... if they had limited to no Food at all...then Walmart would be closed

I wonder if the BestBuy USA stores are open...just checked now.... well they all shut down all stores 4 days ago...so yea...now people are happy that Walmart is sitll open

Seems Ford is snowballing until June-July regarding “lockdown” hopes for sooner but think his prediction isn’t that far-fletched

people should still be able to buy pretty much anything they're looking for despite the closures. You might not get a designer or high end label at Walmart or other department stores, but you could get something to tide you over.

The County has closed it's walking/hiking trail system, and I think most provincial or federal parks are closed. Parks and trails in town are still open, but playground equipment is posted as being closed.

ETA - yeah, we've had restrictions in place for 10 days now, and the outbreak hasn't slowed down.

No it hasn’t assuming a good amount of a lot higher daily counts could be backlogged plus people coming back to the country before borders close tomorrow but it’s going to get worst before it gets better

it feels like we're in a sad scy movie or Dystopia movie like Maze Runner/ Hunger games my DAD tried to warn me that this sort of thing would happen years ago...I and the rest of the family didn't listen. we haven't seen anything like this since the Spanish Influenza virus and NONE of us were born yet....

Sarah... do you mean Harrison Ford or Ford Inc..the motor vehicle company?

ETA
someone listened to my dad...there is an underground shelter in Kansas or somewhere MidWest for the Rich for this sort of thing...or worse conditions like Nuclear War...true story...you can goggle/ bring it

My landlady has mentioned the Spanish Influenza a few times this past week since she’s been home of 1918

Dave - we had fish & chips & green beans. What did you have?

Hubby read up on the Spanish Flu late last year just out of curiousity. Apparently it didn't actually start in Spain, but got the nickname because their newspapers were openly reporting about it.

Apparently the covid assessment centre in town is cutting back it's hours because they haven't been busy. the busiest day had 23 people, and the last few days it's just been 10-12. They feel people are heeding the advice to stay home and self isolate if you have mild symptoms. Guess that's a good thing.

More than I'd like to which means lots of people still out and about but I'd say sales are still down obviously. I mean I might want to pick more stuff at the dollar store to eat but I don't really want to, still got crackers and peanut butter.

My mom is trying to stay home, don't think her work is going to open, or doesn't look like it.

Dave - burgers are always good. I've got some of those in the freezer, but I'll probably do spaghetti tonight. It's one thing I've got lots of on hand, and we havent' had it for a week

Johnnie - do you take walk ups at the drive-thru? If you do go to the store, just be sure to maintain your distance from other people.

Tracey - how have you been coping?
