I hate when writers get lazy.... I liked the movies... but they could have had more

It becomes literally painful to watch, and I tend to turn the show off or at least hit fast-forward when I see it.

That certainly would have been nice. I wouldn't want to see it happen on the bridge, but a scene of just the two of them, maybe in his ready room.

Totally. It was clear after the series finale that they would be together in the future at some point. It made sense to begin "Generations" with them together, but I guess they didn't want to have Picard in a committed relationship.

Bet they would have changed their minds if they knew what a bust Picard/Anij would turn out to be. ZzzZz.
