when Bashir tries to invite himself on one of their dates and Odo/Kira share a look before Odo speaks up and says, "We were actually looking forward to spending time ... alone." interrupting O/K dates! Thought it was great that Odo took the verbal initiative and said no. He could read with a single look that she was thinking the same thing he was, and he was speaking for BOTH of them. He wanted time alone with his lady .

One of my favorite 'cute' scenes is early in "Badda Bing..." when Odo catches sight of those scantily clad show girls in the casino and Kira recognizes his slack jawed expression.

This is the episode right after "Chimera" and I think it reflects in subtle ways the new bond of closeness between Odo and Kira.

And Kira is laughing when she says, "Enjoy yourself, but remember we have a job to do." Then it takes Odo a few seconds to realize Kira's left his side.

That was funny ... .

I keep wishing we'd seen Kira sing at the end of the episode ... and I found a perfect song that she could've done for the group while reflecting her feelings for Odo. It could also show just how far back her feelings for him go, and that she had perhaps been second-guessing herself even after she learned of his feelings after their trip to Gaia.

I think giving Avery his song was a quid pro quo for him agreeing to do the episode because of his feelings about glamorizing the 1960's Las Vegas scene. Personally, I thought it was an awkward duet with Vic - the song they used should have had Vic partnered with a woman. Oh, well, politics . . .

That makes sense. I didn't know that Avery was so opposed to it. It was definitely awkward at the end ... and the fact that Sisko knew the song seemed so off given the fact that he admitted he'd never been to Vic's. While it doesn't mean that he wouldn't know any songs from that time, it didn't make sense that Vic, who'd never met Sisko before their caper, happened to know what song Sisko would know the words to. Seemed like kind of a "huh?" moment.

A Kira song and a Kira/Vic duet would've been great . In my head, I keep picturing Vic offering Kira the microphone and saying, "Your turn, dollface." Then Kira sings that song by Adele that is in my post above.
