I know that I am of course prejudiced, but I find Geneviève Bujold... I don't know, she has no color... she seems like a dispassionate Janeway... really don't know how else to describe it

Oh, I've never seen of clip of GB as Janeway! Hmm, I like her. But there is definitely a different vibe between the scenes. Not bad - just different. Her Janeway would have made not only the character but the entire show take a different course.

I agree, it would have been quite different. The writers would have adapted to her Janeway... who knows where we might have ended up

I think her friendship with Tuvok would have been the least changed, but every other dynamic would have been different.

I doubt there would have been the same chemistry between GBJaneway/Chakotay. So their relationship would have been affected the most as Captain and First Officer. No "Resolutions" episode! Oh, no!

So glad it turned out the way it did.

definitely can't see GB Janeway having much chemistry with Chakotay. The relationship with Seven might have still worked though.

Apart from the obvious differences that music, sound effects, visual effects, and the like make, I just prefer Mulgrew's performance. GB just felt very flat.

And Kate asked if they could change the name. Can't remember the specific reason though...
