Here is what my brain came up with!! lol!!


Kathrny lounged in bed trying in vain to read a report that B'Elanna had given her on the status of the repairs to the warp drive. As it was they were crawling along the Delta Quadrant at Impulse. Her lover was next to her, his head resting in her lap, his finger tracing delicate patterns on the exposed skin of her left thigh. Try as she might she couldn't seem to concentrate. The feel of his fingers were just too distracting. She was still amazed at how well they had just transitioned into being lovers. They had balanced their private and professional lives rather well, except for one or two decisions they had locked horns over. But they had made up quickly enough, passionately enough.

Chakotay lay curled against Kathryn marveling, not for the first time, at the way she felt against him. It had been months since they had taken to each others bed and still every time felt like the first time. He shouldn't have been surprised that they ended up here, after all Chakotay hadn't helped matters, by stealing kisses, teasing caresses, whenever they were alone. Then, one night, they had been in her quarters and he was making dinner not realizing that something was coming over them. Dinner abandoned Chakotay claimed Kathryn's mouth and she took him to her bed. Since that night they rarely slept apart. Most of the time they were here in the Captain;s cabin, but on the rare occasion they wold stay together in his quarters where he would tell her stories of his ancestors to lull her to sleep.

"This is frustrating, I can't concentrate." Kathryn set aside the PADD in a huff. Every word she read wasn't retaining in her mind. Chakotay and his fingers felt too good against her skin. she scooted down forcing Chakotay to once against slide on top of her so she could look into his wonderfully dark eyes.

Chakotay flashed his dimpled grin, "Is that so?" He asked brushing his lips over hers. There were so many ways that he could drive his Captain insane.

"Yes, that's so." Kathryn replied, her body shuddering in laughter. "I can read B'Elanna's report in the morning. Too many things to distract me right." Kathryn angled her head and nipped Chakotay's jawline.

"I'm sure it will be just a riveting in the morning." Chakotay assured drawing his hands down her sides and gripping her hips he sat up bringing her astride his lap. Kathryn locked her arms around Chakotay's shoulder as she gasped loudly.

"That's one way..." she licked her lips, "To distract me from work. Can't wait to see what we do tomorrow night after dinner." Kathryn laughed.

Chakotay went still, "About tomorrow, I actually have plans with B'Elanna. She invited me to the holodeck to watch a hockey game." He said.

"Hockey? What's that?" Kathryn asked making sure she sounded interested. Lately she had worried that she was monopolizing too much of Chakotay's time.

"It's like perizee squares only on ice and more violent. it's a late came and I didn't know if I was going to be able to make dinner." He explained kissing Kathryn's shoulder.

"Oh..." Kathryn didn;t know what to make of that. "I guess I could sit in my ready room and catch up on some reports or stare at the wallpaper." She joked.

"You don't have wallpaper." Chakotay smirked at her.

"Then I'll pick some out." Kathryn rotated her hips against him. Chakotay groaned in pleasure. "Or, I could reprogram the Doctor to call over the comms saying the Tribbles have invaded."

Chakotay laughed so hard at that, mainly because he thought he could see Kathryn doing such a thing if her boredom became too great. He knew his Captain, and she was devious and an imp when she wanted to be. "You would too."

"Paris and Kim aren't the only ones who know how to play a prank." Kathryn smirked wickedly. "Just tell me that we are all set for skiing this weekend. You, me, snow, and a nice rustic cabin."

"I already have the holodeck booked. The entire day, nothing but slopes, and fires, and furs on the bed if you want." Chakotay thrust his hips up drawing a moan from Kathryn. Her fingers dug into his shoulders drawing him closer to her.

"You are too good." Kathryn gasped out.


THE NEXT AFTERNOON:


Chakotay came through the door of Kathryn's ready room to see her staring at something intently on her desk. "I thought, since we couldn't do dinner, how about some lunch?"

"You want to brave the mess hall?" Kathryn looked up with a smile. "Cause, I will if you will." She bargained.

"Then to lunch we go." Chakotay offered his arm to her.

KAthryn stood up and then leaned her hands on the top of her desk, "What do you think?"

"About what?" Chakotay asked coming to stand behind his Captain, "What are those?"

Kathryn turned to him, draped her arms over his shoulders, and smiled, "i couldn't help myself." She dissolved into a fit of laughter.

"You replicated wallpaper samples?" Chakotay asked half in disbelief and half out of humor. It was Kathryn, so he could believe it.

"You put the idea in my head," Kathryn laughed harder.

"You put the idea in your own head." Chakotay countered and then started to laugh too. It was just way too funny not to be laughing. They weren't going to lunch any time soon.
