Agree that the finale should have allowed some time to show how they all settled in to their lives back on Earth.

A relationship between Seven and the EMH would have made so much more sense than what we got.

The series feels incomplete without it, and the actors were hoping to get a follow-up movie. But Trek's producers were eager to move onto Enterprise, so unfortunately Voyager got short shrift.

It had a lot of potential. That romance could've been very intriguing to watch develop.

I think there would be ups and down as with any relationship, but because of their rank, it adds another dimension

And their relationship, without the romance, is already complicated since Chakotay's the one who often questions Janeway when she's going too far or being too stubborn.

And not too mention things between them were SUPER strained after what she nearly did to Noah Lessing from the Equinox. They weren't the same after that. If the show had chosen to GO THERE and have them in a relationship, the EQUINOX episodes would have broken them.

They’re kinda like the Brady Bunch. Two crews (Maquis and Voyager) come together and form a family.

hmm … For the most part, I never thought of Chakotay's questions as disrespectful, but rather based on professional opinions. Although Janeway didn't mind shutting him down if she thought he pushed too far.
