Enterprise - 3x13 - Proving Ground - Jan 21, 2004 Episode Discussion

Andorian Imperial Guard Commander Shran and his warship track Enterprise down in the Delphic Expanse to offer Captain Archer help as an ally, and together, the two former adversaries plan to steal a prototype of the Xindi's planet-destroying superweapon. As a confrontation with the Xindi looms, Lt. Reed gets help fixing the NX-01's damaged weapons systems from a striking Andorian female, Lt. Talas, a contentious officer with her own agenda.

I missed it. I guess I'll try to catch it Sunday on Space. I think I'll make a note about it somewhere on my computer.

It was good. Better than good, it was a fairly entertaining episode.

I like the andorian ship...should have screen caps of it soon. Shran was great as usual. The androians rocked.

I loved the test too...watching the moon go boom was great!

Did I mention the Andorian Lieutenant? Yeah...pleather is good.

I liked the episode. I am not a big fan of Andorians though. But Trip was in it so I'm happy. The blowing up the moon thing was cool!

Did I also mention the Androian Mining CoAlition(?).

Jeff Combs is such a gifted actor.

I thought this was a terrific episode!

I still find the Andorian antennae rather comical though. I laughed when Shran commented on T'Pol's new uniform.

Seeing the crews work together was nice. Reed and the Andorian lieutenent had some great scenes together.

The moon exploding was cool.

I wish we could have seen the Andorian ship in action though. Would have been nice to see what Andorian weapons looked like, and to see if they have shields yet or not.

Nice eppie, loved the ending. I'm glad Shran came through in the end. The Xindi story arc really isn't grabbing me, it's too simplistic. I really don't think Star Trek should be so much into "War" this kind of stuff doesn't enlighten too much it's very one dimensional in my book. I hope they resolve the whole thing by the end of the season and move on to something else. That's just how I feel today, I'll probably feel differently tomorrow.

I really liked this episode. I like the Andorians, and the plot was pretty good as well.

I liked seeing the moon explode, and it was a surprise to hear them say that the test was actually a failure. That really says something about the power of that weapon.

And, honestly, I am glad that the weapon was destroyed, and that they only got schematics and diagrams. I shudder to think what some people would do with such a weapon.

I'm glad that you managed to watch it Rob.

hehe ... you'll be a fan in no time.

Yeah, that Xindi weapon was rather scary. I think that it's a good thing that it was destroyed, although I suppose that they could always build another one.

Just got the time to watch this episode before work, so I did.

I enjoyed it, though it's too bad they couldn't of shut down the weapon. Looks like they must not have gotten the disarm codes or something.
