| Moderator Manager | I watched Parallax yesterday. It's a first season episode where Chakotay is lobbying Kathryn to consider B'Elanna for the Chief Engineer position. At one point Chakotay flat out asks Janeway if the situation of them being stranded on one ship was reversed, if she would have served as his first officer. she wouldn't answer him.  __________________ 'We're Starfleet officers. | Well of course she wouldn't... her ship was bigger and badder... and well she was the Captain. I highly doubt that Janeway would have served "under" Chakotay, as much fun as it would have been, I doubt she would... lol!! and i stress FUN!! i would have served under him, I know I would have... lol!! Though it would have been interesting to see from our stand point to see Starfleet Janeway acclimate herself to life as a Maquis... I don't think she could do it.her principles were too rooted in her blood, her manner, and her mind. | Moderator Manager | After having experienced being the commanding officer of a Starfleet ship, it's hard to imagine anybody taking a demotion and not following Starfleet procedures. I imagine that the Maquis borrowed a lot from Starfleet, but there would have been definite differences.
