I thought the reason they killed Data in Nemesis was because Brent Spiner said he was too old to play the character anymore. If that was the case, then I think our chances of seeing Data in anything new are very slim to none...

Well...he is...sad as it is to admit.

Well, it happens to a lot of actors... especially if they play characters that are not supposed to age! In fact, that is why they changed some of the plot lines in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. especially when they wanted a little boy to be a vampire across multiple seasons. Poor thinking on the part of the writers in that case, I think.

And at least, from what I read anyway, Brent was the one who recognized this first...

Yeah, there's only so much a body can do about the passage of time. As a birthday card I once saw read:

"Time marches on..."
(open card)
"...your face."

That seems a bit cruel, but it is also something that I could see certain relatives giving each other!

Suppose there is always plastic surgery...

oh, that's true. Nemesis was my least favourite movie, and I forgot about that. So yeah, we definitely can't see an aged Data. I suppose there might be another brother floating around, hopefully not a bad apple like Lore. Overall, I'd prefer an ancestor.

The Annoying One. They had Spike get rid of him real quick.

Have to admit that I've only ever seen a couple of episodes of Buffy.

That's good.

The Most Toys is scheduled to air today. I'll tape it to watch later, but it seems to me that it's a Data centered eppy.

It's the one where he gets kidnapped by a collector.

I thought so. Didn't look up the episode description though. Hopefully I'll have time to watch it tomorrow.

Artie from Warehouse 13 is the guy who kidnaps Data. And it is the episode that proves that Data has evolved beyond his programming, since he flat out lied at the end of it!
