Borg Appreciation - Because Resistance *is* Futile

Borg Appreciation Thread

The Borg

We are the Borg. Existence, as you know it, is over. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile.

Borg? Vegas? *brain explodes into tiny pieces*

Sigh, I used to think the Borg were the coolest. But they were cool because they were just so indestructable, and that was scary. I think they ended up being used so often they were just another bad guy ... already this was happening by the time of their last appearance in TNG, "Descent".

I have to say though ... I think "First Contact" was my favourite Trek movie (tied with "Wrath of Kahn"), in no small part because the Borg were in it..

w00t! The Borg rock! They're my fave villians. In the early part of Next Gen they weren't really scary b/c, let's face it, the costumes were really bulking and they just made me laugh. But as soon as they got onto the big screen--yay! Now we got some scary-ass baddies!!!

I would so wish to go to Las Vegas! But I can't afford it. Have you seen it? Or going to see it?

If I ever get to Vegas again, I'll definitely check it out. But I can't say that I have any plans to go.

I think that it's like a ride though, so just seeing the film you'd be missing something. But I guess that it would give you the storyline.

You're right. It wouldn't be the same to see it on the screen as in real life.

You're right. In a few years maybe. Or maybe I can find a college near Vegas and go there...and maybe I can get a lightsaber to...

Might as well aim high. We all need to have our dreams.

Lightsaber? Wrong board. Besides, phasers are much better.

Did I write lightsaber??

Phasers would be good if the other person isn't a jedi that can kill you with the force. Or maybe the force don't work in this part of the galaxy

first of all yes the borg rock...second i dont think a lightsabre could hold up to a sustained burst of phaser fire at maximum setting...im pretty sure that the light sabre would not repel the beam but would absorb it until the sabre overloaded...ne one else know enough about the specs to confirm or deny this?
