Hi everyone,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customizing message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture suggestions or colour ideas, please post them on this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible.

Your suggestions for possible colors and pictures will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customized look possible, the final decision concerning how this board will be customized will be made by the members of the Graphics Team, because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colors fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customization process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or ask them on the message board customization thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customized.

Note: It usually takes less than 2 weeks for us to finish making the new banner (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

Colours - something fairly dark, or at least not too bright. Please, please, please not red.

Pictures - I haven't come across anything for the new movie yet, they're keeping those under wraps. Right now we have the Captains from the 5 series:
William Shatner - Kirk - The Original Series
Patrick Stewart - Picard - The Next Generation
Avery Brooks - Sisco - Deep Space 9
Katherine Mulgrew - Janeway - Voyager
Scott Bakula - Archer - Enterprise.
If you go with characters, those should be included. I suppose you could go with ships or com badges if you want something totally different.

I'm not sure that I know of any sites with photo shoots. Screen caps are easier to come by.

I like the colors as they are.

I would like to see the different ships in the banner, instead of characters.

That would be a change. Maybe a bit ... less personal though. Just a couple of versions of Enterprise, Voyager and DS9 or include some alien vessels? This site is good for pics.

I see the next batch of customization threads are up, so I guess our banner is made and we're in the waiting to be finalized category.

Actually making the banners is usually only a couple of weeks, then they have to vote which can take another week or so, getting the board set up is the longest part of the process. I'm anxious to see what the Graphics Team has come up with for us.

Right now I'm thinking I'm kind of glad that the Graphics Team worked on this before we had any publicity shots for the new movie. I think most fans identify more with the tv series than the movies.

Ya know I was just thinking an awesome board graphic would be the Starfleet ensignia with the faces of the four major captains in it like the new ST movie poster pics.

Too late now I suppose, but that would have been cool.

That would have been an interesting concept and would pay tribute to the movie without actually including it - if that makes sense.
